COURSE DESIGN
Ring Homestead Camp has been designing and constructing ropes courses since 1980. We are known for combining experience, and using innovative solutions to create new activities that promote powerful insight and positive changes.
Our high quality standards meet or exceed the standards set by the Association for Challenge Courses Technology (ACCT). Our attention to detail goes beyond selecting and inspecting equipment. We use utility poles for quality, integrity and longevity. We also give special consideration to the prevention of unauthorized use, minimizing enviromental impact and to maximizing TREE longevity for courses built in trees.
We offer two types of CHALLENGE ROPES COURSE designs. Whether it be on POLES or high in the TREES, our quality design team will custom build the right course that suits your needs.

HUB AND SPOKE HIGH COURSES
Hub and Spoke Courses are built like a wheel: Activities radiate from a center hub with a large platform to the outside poles or trees, which are then connected together by other activities. Here is the scoop: The WHOLE team, should they choose to do so, may be on the course at the same time without waiting lines or traffic jams.
Hub and Spoke Coursesoffer the best educational value and versatility of all high course designs, as they : 1. Maximize learning as participants always have several choices and can therefore challenge themselves on the activity that is the most beneficial to them. 2. Work for both in-depth facilitation with small groups and high volume with large groups. 3. Offer by far the highest industry ratio of active participation over staff. 4. Increase repeat business as participants are compelled to come back to challenge themselves. In addition, hub and spoke courses are visually stunning, whether built on poles or trees.
POLE COURSES
Although they come with a higher sticker price, poles give you the freedom to build the course of your dreams in a location you wiould not be able to do otherwise. Among other advantages are longevity (Poles do not grow, become diseased, fall or die.) and lower maintaince cost.
TREE COURSES
Courses built in trees have a more natural feel and are more aesthetically pleasing. They offer more privacy as well as a shelter from exposure to rain and sunshine. Our long experience and collaboration with arborists has proven that trees adapt well to our construction techniques. In most cases you can expect 10-12 years of life of your course.
